2009. április 1-én megszűnt az HBO stúdiójában a szinkron gyártása. A kiszervezés oka az HBO regionális szinkron-stratégiája volt. Végh Ödön produkciós vezető feladatai közé tartozott a szinkron koordinálása is.

– Az HBO családon belüli egységes döntés eredményeként szűnt meg a szinkronizálás – tájékoztatta a Magyarszinkron.hu-t a szakember. Továbbra is komoly hangsúlyt fektetünk az eddig megszokott HBO-s minőség megtartására. Célunk, hogy a jövőben is megfeleljünk a nézőink által támasztott követelményeknek kimagaslóan jó minőségű magyar hangjainkkal. Pataricza Eszter, a csatorna művészeti vezetője továbbra is ellenőrzi a magyar szövegeket..

– Van olyan munka, amelyre mindig büszkén fog visszaemlékezni?

– Sok kiváló alkotás szinkronját készítettük el. A Spektrummal együtt nagyjából húszezerszer hangzott el, hogy a „szinkron az HBO stúdiójában készült.” Elsősorban sorozatszinkronokat gyártottunk, amelyek közül a Jóbarátok hét-nyolc évadja marad számomra emlékezetes, emellett kiemelkedően jó lett az Elit alakulat, a Róma, vagy a Tudorok szinkronja is.

– Ön szerint érzékelni fognak valamit a nézők a változásokból?

– Úgy gondolom, hogy nem.
