Pár perccel a kezdés előtt a közönség izgatottan morajlik, a szereplők neveit visszhangozza. Majd a színtér elsötétedik, és miközben megszólal az első jelenet apropóját adó szovjet film eredetije, megjelenik a színen Szélyes Imre, Kertész Péter, Kaszás Mihály, Haás Vander Péter és Szőlőskei Tímea. Az első három művész felsorakozik a szinkronstúdiót szimbolizáló mikrofonok előtt, és a nézők rögtön olajozottan veszik a helyzetkomikumok poénjait és az egymás ugratásából adódó vicceket – persze azt a bizonyos egy tekercset ugyanúgy nem sikerül felvenni, mint ahogyan a próbákon,.

Haás Vander Péter (akit nem régiben Jászai Mari-díjjal – és a Magyarszinkron.hu Hónap Hangja díjával – tüntettek ki) empatikus Vas szinkronrendezőjével a darab végéig nagyon együtt tudunk érezni, amiként ő is a politikának kiszolgáltatott színészeivel. De, ahogy Sáfár Anikó mondja az egykor ünnepelt művésznő álarca mögül: „Korok jönnek, korok mennek.”
Szőke ellenpontja a rendszert rajongásig tisztelő Sas elvtársnő. Nyertes Zsuzsa sziporkázik, amit a közönség hangos tetszésnyilvánításával hálál meg. Őt bravúrosan egészíti ki a Párt szeme és füle – nem mellékesen szája –; Körtvélyessy Zsolt és Szilágyi Zsuzsa.
Lévay Viktória pedig kiválóan példázza a fiatal színésznőt, akit egyik napról a másikra vállára vesz a filmkészítés olykor kegyetlen világa.
Az előadás szünetében többen a végkifejletet találgatják. Ám, míg az várat magára, a második felvonás – és egyben maga a dráma – csúcspontjaként az orosz színmű jelenetéből megtudhatjuk, hogy lehet-e élőben szinkronizálni egy darabot és, hogy miként állja meg a helyét színészként a jobbnál jobb ötletekkel megáldott olvasztár. Bank Tamás igazán hiteles, mint Sztálin magyar hangja.
Az orosz és a magyar színészeket játszó művészek teljesen szinkronba kerültek egymással a bemutatóra – ami egyáltalán nem könnyű feladat.
A Budapesti Kamaraszínház Tivoli stúdiója, ahogyan a neve is mutatja, nem a szokványos kőszínház; a stúdiószínház jellege intimebb légkört képes teremteni, eleve megalapozva ezzel a hangulatot. Az ember mindig kicsit közelebb érzi magához az előadást, mert a nézőtér kevésbé izolálódik a játéktértől.
A harsányan jókedvű közönség egyszerre csendesedik el az Utószinkron legutolsó jeleneténél. Nem kis meglepetést okoz a végjáték fordulata.
És Vége! A nézőtér egy emberként hatalmas ovációban tör ki: A szűnni nem akaró vastaps többször visszahívja a színművészeket a színpadra, akik őszinte mosollyal hálálják meg az elismerést.
A próbafolyamatot és a premiert végig követte az írónő Dallos Szilvia is:
– Annak ellenére, hogy az Utószinkron ősbemutatója a Tivoli Színházban lesz, korábban már színpadra állították egyszer ezt a művet.
– Igen, tavaly tavasszal felhívtak hogy, ha ráérek, menjek el a Németh László Gimnáziumba, mert az egyik osztály bemutatja a színdarabomat. Előzetesen nem tudtam semmit róla, így nagyon meglepett a hívás. Elmentem és kiderült, hogy fél éve ezen dolgoznak a gyerekek; saját maguk szedik össze a kellékeket, díszleteket, jelmezeket. Valami egészen döbbenetes volt számomra, hogy ezek a fiatal, tizenéves emberek milyen mélyen értik az ötvenes éveket, és úgy adták át a drámát, hogy végig harsogott a közönség a nevetéstől.
– Kapott esetleg felkérést valamelyik színháztól a színmű megírására?
– Nem. Általában nem szeretem, ha határidőt szabnak az íráshoz, mert annyira ideges leszek, hogy el kell készülnöm időre, hogy nem lesz hozzá kellő türelmem. Nem beszélve arról, hogy az ötvenes évek számomra is távoliak; nagyon utána kellett néznem, hogy milyen volt ez az időszak, mert akkoriban én is csak gimnazista voltam. Igyekeztem azokat a figurákat és helyzeteket megragadni, amelyeket lassan, lassan utánamenve megtaláltam.
– A drámában szereplő karakterek mennyire valóságosak?
– Nem az ötvenes években dolgozott, de Vas János például az egyik leghíresebb és legjobb szinkronrendezőnk volt. Szalóki pedig valóban dramaturgként dolgozott, és viszonylag fiatalon halt meg. Ha nem is pontosan akkoriban tevékenykedtek, de szerettem volna ezeknek a neveknek egyfajta emléket állítani.
– Mit várt a premiertől?
– Izgulok, és kíváncsian várom hogy fog tetszeni az embereknek, mennyire lesz érthető számukra.
Az Utószinkron szeptembertől indul igazán hódító útjára. Reméljük ezzel a néhány röpke írással felkeltettük a Kedves Olvasók érdeklődését ez iránt a roppant humoros, mégis igazán elgondolkodtató előadás iránt, amely nem csak az 50-es évek elé állított görbe tükör, társadalmi szatíra, de bepillantást enged a filmkészítés egyik legérdekesebb ágazatába, a szinkronizálásba is.
