– Nyolc éves koromtól kezdve jártam a Magyar Rádió Gyermekstúdiójába, amely nagyon jó hely volt. A foglalkozásokat szombatonként tartották, ahol rengeteg gyakorlatot végeztünk a ritmusgyakorlatoktól a beszédtechnikáig, versekkel foglalkoztunk és megtanultunk bánni a mikrofonnal. Ezekre az alkalmakra jöttek be a rendezők és nézték meg hogyan dolgozunk, és az alapján válogatták ki a gyerekeket a különböző hangjátékokra, színdarabokhoz és filmekhez. Ott kezdődött minden.
– Néhány epizód erejéig például a Szomszédokban is feltűntél.
– Igen. Azon kívül több gyerekfilmben is szerepet kaptam. Az Első randevú című filmet kamasz koromban forgattuk. Az akkori másik gyerekszereplő Létay Dóra volt. Benne voltam többek között Muszty és Dobay gyermek musicaljében, a Boszorkánypalántában. E mellett kisebb feladatokkal bíztak meg koprodukciós alkotásokban
– Jól tudom, hogy a színjátszást tanítottad is?
– Igen. Botka Valéria megkért, hogy tanítsak a musicalstúdiójában színész mesterséget. Azt válaszoltam, hogy elég merész lenne azt állítani, hogy huszonnégy évesen tudok mesterséget tanítani, hiszen még magam is abszolút pályakezdő voltam, de szívesen mondtam igent arra, hogy gyerekekkel foglalkozzak. Kreatív játékórákat tartottam nekik, ritmusgyakorlatokkal foglalkoztunk, próbáltam megbarátkoztatni őket a versekkel és az irodalommal, úgy, ahogy annak idején velem is tették a Gyermekstúdióban. A legfontosabbnak azt éreztem, hogy megtanulják mi ennek az egész „színházasdinak” az alapja, vagyis a társas játékot: hogy nem egyedül én vagyok a színpadon, tudniuk kell, mikor vonuljanak háttérbe és hogyan segítsék a többieket. A legbüszkébb arra vagyok, hogy az hiszem ez sikerült is.
– Ha ma kérnének fel, hogy taníts, most is vállalnád?
– Nagyon szívesen foglalkozom gyerekekkel, de a tanítást azért nem tartom szerencsés kifejezésnek az én esetemben, mert úgy érzem sokkal többet tanultam én a gyerekektől, mint ők tőlem.
– Számos színpadi szerepet tudhatsz a hátad mögött. Hogy alakult a színházi karriered?
– Annak idején a Nemzeti Színház Stúdiójában kezdtem. Utána a szolnoki Szigliget Színházhoz szerződtem. Majd visszakerültem Budapestre, ahol katonaként a Honvéd Együttesben is játszottam. De közreműködtem a szegedi nyári szabadtéri játékok és az Operettszínház előadásaiban is. Aztán a Győri Nemzeti Színház következett. Voltak rosszabb és jobb periódusok, de azt hiszem, ha valaki színész, muszáj, hogy deszka legyen a talpa alatt.
– A Pinceszínház-béli Kaland című Márai-darab a következő évadban is műsoron lesz?
– Igen. A Kalandban kis feladatom van, de nagyon szeretem. Pontosan ez a társas játék az, amelyről beszéltem: nem mindegy, hogy egy olyan csapatban kapok kis szerepet, amelyet megtisztelőnek érzek, vagy pedig főszerepet játszom egy kevésbé színvonalas előadásban.
Egy közös jelenetem van Hámori Ildikóval, akit fantasztikus színésznőnek tartok, kiváló partner, akitől minden egyes alkalommal kapok valamit. Ugyanazt játsszuk, de minden este más az a jelenet.
– Várható új bemutató az elkövetkezőkben?
– Szeretném, hogy legyen, de még nem tudom, hogy alakul az életem. Mindent már nem vállalok el. Meglátjuk mit hoz az élet, és, hogy mit bírok, mert a lábam még nem tökéletes. Sajnos pont a táncos, komikus szerepkör, amelyet igazán a sajátomnak érzek, a tánc része miatt még nem működik hibátlanul. De remélhetőleg minél hamarabb teljesen rendbe jövök és, akkor nem lesz akadálya a játéknak.
– Körülbelül egy éve súlyos baleset ért. A rajongóid, tisztelőid nagyon szorítottak a mihamarabbi felépülésedért, kollégáid tiszteletreméltóan egy emberként álltak melletted.
– Megrendítő volt, ahogy gondoltak rám és segítettek. Igazából döbbenetes érzés arra rájönni, hogy milyen sokan szeretnek, hogy azok az emberek, akikkel nap, mint nap együtt dolgozom, komolyan szeretettel gondolnak rám. Ez nagyon sok erőt adott és rengeteget köszönhetek neki. Semmiféle ezoterikus dologhoz nem értek, de meggyőződésem, hogy a gondolatnak valóban ereje van. Ha sok ember ugyanarra szeretettel gondol, az valami hihetetlen energia lehet. Ebből igen sokat merítettem és kifejezetten hozzájárult a gyógyulásomhoz. Nagyon hálás vagyok érte.
– Mikor tudtál újra mikrofon elé állni?
– Meglehetősen gyorsan, mert nem hagytam magam; egyszerűen nem akartam betegségtudattal létezni a világban. Az elején még például mankóval botorkáltam be a Jász utcai stúdióba, mert a közelbe jártam gyógytornára. A szinkronhoz egy képernyőt kell nézni és olvasni hozzá a szöveget. A baleset utána még fél évig kettős látásom volt. Meg volt az a pont, ahova a szöveget emelnem kellett, hogy lássam. Nem voltam mindig biztos benne, hogy meg tudom oldani a feladatot, amellyel épp megbíztak, de csak azért is csináltam. Valahogy szükségem volt arra, hogy igazolva lássam, hogy létezek.
– A szinkronizálást is gyerekként kezdted?
– Igen. Aztán nagyon sokáig gyerek szerepeket szinkronizáltam akkor is, amikor már nem voltam olyan kicsi.
– Hogy emlékszel vissza az első alkalomra?
– Az az igazság, hogy inkább arra emlékszem, hogy mindig is ezt csináltam, nincsen határozott első élményem. Bár egy családi legenda szerint három-négy éves koromban volt egy mesemondó verseny a Balatonon, ahol nyaraltunk. A szüleim a nézőtéren ültek, és egyszer csak arra lettek figyelmesek, hogy fenn vagyok a színpadon. Elmeséltem a Piroska és a farkast és megnyertem a versenyt. Onnantól kezdve mindig a színpadon szerettem volna lenni.
Az tudom, hogy az első hangjátékom A fekete bárány unokája volt. Akkoriban még rengeteg hangjáték készült, a Rádióban és sokban benne lehettem. Ennek köszönhetem, hogy olyan színháztörténeti színészóriásokkal dolgozhattam együtt, akiket az én korosztályom gyakran még színpadon sem láthatott. Mint Páger Antal, Gobbi Hilda, Major Tamás vagy Gábor Miklós.
– A Rádió később is megmaradt.
– Tíz éven keresztül én voltam a Petőfi Rádió hangja.
– Említetted, hogy a színpadon a komikus szerepekben érzed igazán jól magadat. A szinkronban is jobban kedveled a humoros szerepeket? Például inkább magadénak érzed az Életem értelmei főszerepét?
– Be kell, hogy valljam így nézve tulajdonképpen mindegy. Nagyon szeretem a karakterszerepeket. Nem zavar, ha három tekercset kapok, hogyha olyan a figura, aki kihívást jelent. Általában a komikusokat szakmai szempontból azért nehezebb megcsinálni, mert nem könnyű követni a sok váltást, amelyet a külföldi színész alkalmaz. De a drámaiak esetében is ugyanúgy vannak nehezebb pillanatok. Azt szeretem, ha valami igazán feladat.
Ebben az értelemben az Életem értelmei kihívást jelentett, mert Damon Wayans egy mondaton belül többféle játékot is használ, így nem volt egyszerű követni, de nagyon szerettem.
– A mostanság keletjét élő nyomozós, helyszínelős sorozatok közül neked kettő is van: a Bostoni halottkémek és az NCIS. Ezek karakterszerepek? Mennyire állnak hozzád közel?
– Hála az égnek mindkettő karakterszerep. A Bostoni halottkémek szinkronja különböző helyeken készült. Fekete Zoltán kezdte el, majd egy másik stúdióban az egész sorozatot újraszinkronizálták és ekkor kaptam én a szerepet. Nagyon jó.
Az NCIS külön öröm számomra, mert Jimmy Palmer annyira határozott figura a maga lököttségével, kedves naivságával, hogy az ember mosolyogva mondja fel azt a néhány tekercset, ami van neki. Nagyon élvezem.
– A Dokikban is egy kicsi, de rendkívül emlékezetes és szórakoztató szereplőt osztottak rád Dr. Todd személyében.
– Szinkronban a színésznek mindig idomulnia kell az eredetihez, és, ha az a karakter annyira elüt attól, amilyen én vagyok, akkor például az édesapám gyakran nem ismeri meg a hangomat. De teljesen mást játszani, mint önmagad, mindig megváltozni, örökké mások bőrébe bújni, remek dolog.
A Dokikban Todd is egy ilyen örömmel eltöltő feladat. Ha finoman akarok fogalmazni, ő egy végtelenül egyszerű ember, akinek csak a szex körül jár az esze. Ez szerintem egy hasonló vígjáték sorozat esetében kitűnő lehetőséget ad a poénokra.
– Az egyik leghíresebb szinkron munkád a Gyűrűk Urában Gollamként volt. Zavar téged, hogy a legtöbben Szméagolként azonosítanak, és gyakran kérik, hogy mond: „Drágaságom”? Vagy mindig szívesen fogadod?
– Ilyen feladat nagyon ritkán adódik az ember életében, szinkronban pedig különösen, amely ennyire sokrétű és nehéz. Eleve a hangképzés komoly feladatnak bizonyult, de nagyon jól esett, hogy e miatt a hangképzési technika miatt sokan nem is tudták, hogy én vagyok az. Remek érzés volt, amikor kollégákat hallottam arról beszélni miután látták a filmet, hogy agyba-főbe dicsérték a szinkronomat és kérdezgették: „ki csinálta ezt?”
Persze egy idő után unalmassá válhat, hogy mindig ugyanazt kérik, ugyanarról van szó, de nagyképűség lenne azt állítani, hogy ez zavar. Nem akarok szerénytelennek tűnni: igen, én erre a szerepre büszke vagyok, örülök, hogy jól sikerült.
– A film főbb szereplőinek hangját castingon választották ki; az adott figurára szánt színészek hangmintáit állítólag maga Peter Jackson hallgatta meg. Gollam esetében is így történt?
– Ennek érdekes a története, mert a Gyűrűk Ura első részében, Gollam nagyon keveset van jelen. Csörögi István, a szinkronrendező rám osztotta ezt a karaktert a történet ismeretében tudva, hogy a későbbiekben nagyobb szerepem lesz. Megcsináltam és nagyon élveztem, mert olyan gárdával készült a produkció, akik mind igazán értenek a szakmához. Csörögi István mellett például Márkus Tamás dolgozott hangmérnökként, akinek nagyon jó füle van ehhez.
Amikor jött a Két torony, az amerikaiak jelezték, hogy castingolni kell, hiába voltam az előzőben én a hangja. Nekem is több kollégámmal együtt versenyezni kellett Gollam szerepéért. Közeledett a felvétel napja, de még mindig nem érkezett meg a válasz. A rendező úgy döntött, hogy felveszi velem, és majd úgyis kiderül, ha a külföldiek mást szeretnének. Éppen úton voltam a stúdió felé, hogy elkezdjük a Gyűrűk Urát, amikor megszólalt a mobiltelefonon. A gyártásvezető hívott, hogy „Gratulálok, téged választottak, úgyhogy tényleg jöhetsz.”
A trilógia szinkronját kifejezetten elismerték. Sőt, a VOX Magazintól még VOXCar-díjat is kaptunk.
– A Gyűrűk Ura mellett hallhattunk téged például a Harry Potter mozikban is. Mi a véleményed a fantasy műfajáról?
– A fantasy nem áll távol tőlem, mert tulajdonképpen felnőtteknek szóló mesékről van szó, és én mind a mai napig szeretem a meséket. Szívesen megnézek egy-egy sci-fi filmet is példának okáért. Izgalmas, ha valami különleges, varázslatos. Ebből a szempontból kicsit olyan vagyok, mint egy gyerek.
– Te kölcsönzöd a hangodat a nagy népszerűségnek örvendő Grace klinika egyik orvosának is. Milyen volt a magyar változaton dolgozó csapat?
– Nagyon jó volt a stáb. Illetve az, hogy azt éreztem, egy olyan figurával találkoztam össze, akit rám szabtak, akit egy pillanat alatt értek és ismerek; amikor automatikusan ott veszek levegőt, ahol a színész. Az általam szinkronizált karakter partnerének Kerekes Andrea volt a magyar hangja és elég sok páros jelenetre adódott lehetőségünk. Rendkívül jól tudtunk együtt dolgozni. Nagyon tetszett, hogy, amikor később megnéztem egy-két részt a televízióban, nem is Andrea hangját hallottam, hanem azt, hogy az eredeti színésznő szólal meg, annyira passzolt minden, amit csinált. Le a kalappal előtte.
– Azt mondtad kedveled a meséket. Számtalan rajzfilmben hangolsz, mint a Verdák vagy a Madagaszkár. De jól ismernek téged a japán mangák rajongói is.
– Én szeretem az igazi rajzfilmeket, amelyek valóban gyerekeknek készülnek. Ugyanakkor ma már az animéknek sokkal nagyobb rajongótáborral bírnak. Valahogy úgy alakult, hogy általában az animékben én a behízelgő, búgó hangú fő gonoszt szoktam szinkronizálni. De ezeket valahogy jobban szeretem, mint azt, amikor hősnek kell lennem. Persze abban is meg lehet találni a jót, de sokkal sivárabb feladat, amikor az ember reggel felkel és rögtön hős: ébredéstől elalvásig. Pont azért szeretem a karakterszerepeket, mert azokban lehet játszani.
– Ha már rajzfilm: a Minimaxnak hosszú évekig te voltál a csatornahangja. Hogy kaptad ezt a felkérést?
– Mielőtt elindult a Minimax, együttdolgoztam azzal a csapattal egy számítógépes műsor alámondása kapcsán, akik Magyarországon forgalmazták ezt a csatornát. Ők döntöttek úgy, hogy én erre alkalmas lennék, és a francia tulajdonosok is egyetértettek. Akkoriban még újnak számított egy ilyen kifejezetten gyerekeknek szánt, erőszakmentes televízió. Nagyszerű feladat volt rátalálni arra a középutat jelentő hangra, amely kedvesen a gyermekekhez szól, de mégsem játszom túl, ne gügyögjek nekik. Sajnos most már nem én csinálom, de nagyon közel állt a szívemhez.
– Előfordult, hogy egy kisgyerek épp a Minimax alapján ismert fel?
– Volt ilyenre példa. De az is előfordult, hogy kutyasétáltatás közben valakivel szóba elegyedtem, és egy idő után azt mondta, hogy nem tudja, hogy honnan, de ismer engem, lehet, hogy még nem találkoztunk, de a hangomat biztosan ismeri.
– Az utolsó mozifilm, amelyben az olasz felügyelőt szólaltattad meg magyarul éppen egy könyvből, Dan Brown Angyalok és démonok bestselleréből készült. A munka szempontjából különbséget jelent számodra egy egészestés film szinkronizálása?
– A mozifilmekre általában kicsit több idő van, több lehetőség adódik arra, hogy az ember mívesebb munkát végezzen. De én törekszem erre a tv filmek esetében is, mert, ha már valamihez a nevemet és a hangomat adom, akkor megpróbálom a lehető legtöbbet kihozni magamból. Ebből a szempontból nem látok különbséget.
– Ha valakit ajánlhatnál a szinkron szakmából, hogy ki legyen a következő interjú alany, kit választanál?
– Két általam sokra tartott: hangmérnököt mondanék: a Gyűrűk Ura kapcsán már említett Márkus Tamás, aki a Mafilmben dolgozik. Illetve az SDI fiatal hangmérnökét, Beke Tamást, akit a 39. Magyar Filmszemlén Aranymikrofon díjjal jutalmaztak Fligenauf Benedek Tejút című filmjéért.
