A rendszerváltást követő zűrzavaros években innen is sokan elmentek máshová dolgozni. A különböző, kisebb-nagyobb stúdiókban eltérő összegekért eltérő minőségű munkákat vállaltak el, amelyeknek sokszor a néző látta kárát.
Ebben a zűrzavarban gondoltak utat vágni a Duna Televízió vezetői, amikor 1998 őszére felépítették és munkába „állították” saját szinkronstúdiójukat, amelynek vezetését András Ferenc, filmrendező vállalta el.
– Mindig fontosnak tartottam, hogy egy filmnek ne csak a képi világa, hanem a hangja is megfelelő legyen – meséli. Saját filmjeim készítésekor is fokozottan figyeltem arra, hogy a megkomponált felvételekhez a lehető legerősebben kötődő hang párosuljon.
Amikor elkezdtük a munkát, az első időszakban, mint minden „újszülöttnél” nálunk is jócskán akadtak nehézségek. Mivel a televízió vezetősége fontosnak tartotta, hogy a stúdió minél előbb önfenntartóvá váljon, ezért akkoriban kénytelenek voltunk külső megrendeléseket is elvállalni.
Azt viszont mindig fontosnak tartottam, hogy bárhová is készül az adott munka, a minőségéből soha nem engedhetünk. Nemcsak nekem, de a csapat minden tagjának egyformán fontos volt, hogy az elején kialakított minőséget folyamatosan fenntartsuk.
Ebben az egyik nagyon fontos segítségem Pálinkó Mária, aki gyártásvezetőként dolgozott itt, szinte a kezdetek óta.
– 1998 telén jöttem ide dolgozni, amikor az előző munkahelyem megszűnt – mondja Pálinkó Mária. Szinte az alapokról kellett felépítenünk azt a rendszert, amely alapján a mai napig dolgozunk. Persze, amikor megkerestem a felkéréssel, nem akart elsőre igent mondani. Némi rábeszéléssel és a vezetőség hozzájárulásával sikerült megtalálnunk a megoldást, s így Kern András néhány hétig a vendégünk lehetett. S, mint a végén elmondta nagy örömmel csinálta a munkát, mert a stáb és a kihívás igazán jó hangulatot teremtett a szinkronizáláshoz.
Persze az ilyen – kiemelt kezelt – feladatokat ellensúlyoznunk kell kevésbé előtérben lévő, vagy szakmailag kevesebb kihívást igénylő munkáknál.
