Az elején ők az egyértelműen negatív karaterek, de később sokat változik minda kettőjük figurája. Az ő történetük sem egysíkú, és ehhez sokat tesz hozzá a két nagyszerű magyar művész is!

Az elején ő az egyik negatív figura, de később győz benne az úrnője iránt érzett lojalitás. Makacs asszony, aki sok mindenre hajlandó azért, hogy elérje az igazát. Ebben néha segítőtársra is lel a szolgálók között. Molnár Zsuzsa magyar változatában az eredeti színésznő játéka színesebbé, lendületesebbé válik.

„Az elejétől mélyebben kellett megszólalnom, mint a normál hangszínem. A mély hang az mindig picit más, ráadásul jellemző a nem túl jó indulatúakra. A színésznő amúgy abszolút jó abban, ahogy játszik. Negatív figurát sokszor jobb játszani, több benne a lehetőség. Igyekszem követni a játékát, de amúgy teljesen ráhangolódtam.

Én imádom a kosztümös filmeket. Egyszerűen felüdülés csinálni. Ha felajánlanának valami hasonlót, rohannék csinálni. Általában igyekszem mindenből a legjobbat kihozni. De ma már nem is ezen van a hangsúly. Nyilván az ember egész másképpen csinálja azt, amit szeret. Ezzel együtt viszont több dologra kell figyelni, főleg technikailag.

A mai világban azt mondja mindenki, hogy azért az megy a tévében, ami, mert erre van igény. Ez nem igaz, és ennek én élharcosa vagyok. A néző azt nézi, amit mutatnak neki. Nem hiszem, hogy negyven éve igényesebbek lettek volna a nézők, egyszerűen ezt szokták meg. Ha ma igényes darabokat látnának, azt szoknák meg. A nézőtől nem lehet elvárni azt, hogy kikapcsolja a tévét, amikor egy igénytelen dolgot lát. Egész nap dolgozott, fáradt, nem fogja kikapcsolni. Persze a színvonalat újraépíteni nem egyszerű dolog.

A Downton Abbey színvonalas kultúra, jó példa arra, hogy egy drámát, családregényt így is elő lehet adni. Ezen kívül egy hihetetlenül igényes munka, nem rohanva, nyugodt körülmények között készült szinkront lehet hozzá hallani.”

Thomas Barrow inas, később Lord Grantham lakája, majd komornyik helyettes    (Rob James-Collier)

Mrs.’O Brien segítője amikor valamilyen konfliktust lehet a házban gerjeszteni. A háború alatt egyik kicsit visszafogja magát, majd amikor rájön, hogy elvesztheti az állását, alaposan megváltozik. Széles Tamás hibátlan átlényegüléssel alakítja a figurát. Hangja hol kemény, hol alázatos és a nézőnek komolyan kell figyelnie arra, hogy pontosan felismerje a patikamérlegen kiegyensúlyozott hanghordozást.

„Ez egy jó munka, öröm csinálni, de én egyáltalán nem nézek tévét, inkább olvasok otthon. Mivel a fickó nem sokat szerepel, így igazából az adott jelenetre koncentrálok, egyben nem nagyon látom a történetet. A színész jónak tűnik, abszolút élvezetes csinálni. Annyi vacak van, hogy egy ilyen feladat felüdülés. Reggelente szívesebben indul el az ember a stúdióba dolgozni.

Ma, amikor a közösségi portálokon egyszerűen eligénytelenedett a magyar nyelv, egyszerűen hihetetlen jó hallani, hogy hogyan is beszélt akkoriban egy lakáj, egy cseléd, vagy egy nemes. Ez a kommunikáció csodája. Aki egy kicsit normálisabb, emberibb viszonyokat akar látni, akár intrikus, akár nem, annak mindenképpen ajánlom.

Boldogan, akár nem kosztümösbe is. De nincs sok különbség, inkább a nyelvezet a lényeg. Arra kell odafigyelni, hisz más korban máshogy kell mondani a dolgokat. Ebből a szempontból talán nehezebb egy kosztümös dolog.

Ez egy alkalmazott iparág, nem annyira művészet, és én magamban érzem, hogy van egy szelíd rettegés, hogy nehogy tehetségtelennek tűnjek, ne rutinból szólaljak meg. És minél több rossz minőségű darabot csinál valaki, annál inkább rutinból oldja meg, nem pedig átélésből, vagy koncentrációból. Erre is akad példa sajnos, hisz, ha kevés a pénz, és az idő, én sem tudok úgy dolgozni. Lehet a szakma becsületére hivatkozni, de ez valahol egyfajta termelés, ebből élünk, szóval, ha annyira nincs megfizetve, akkor én sem fogok olyan minőséget produkálni. Viszont annyi ilyen van, hogy az ember bizony megszokja a saját hangsúlyait. Éppen ezért egy ilyennél, mint a Dowton Abby, figyelni kell arra, hogy a karakter szólaljon meg, nem én.

Számomra is akadnak nagyon emlékezetes feladatok. Csináltunk egy filmet, az volt a címe, hogy „Élve eltemetve”. Egy szereplős, egy koporsóban. Úgy is vettük fel, hogy egy idő után le sem álltunk, hanem végig folyamatosan vettük. Úgy megviselt, hogy a végén le kellett ülnöm, mert zokogtam, annyira átéltem. Szédületes volt az ötlet és a megvalósítás, a szerep pedig megviselt.”
